Traditional IT Partners work on a break-fix model where costs are directly associated to an issue. For example, if we spend an hour working we charge for an hours labour.

Managed Service Providers (MSP) charge a monthly cost per user or per machine. For example if you have 5 computers in your business you would pay a monthly fixed fee per computer. However you wouldn't then pay any additional charges for labour on those computers.

This enables businesses to budget a fixed cost per year for IT Support and have an expected  pathway for upgrades etc.
